About the Artist

I like to think that I inherited my artistic side from my dad. Naturally, it was easier for me to keep up with my art when I was younger. Once I became a mom, and more so once I went back to work full-time, it became harder to find time. Days became weeks, weeks became months, and next thing I know it had been years since I had done artwork of any kind.

Fast forward to 2022, my creative urges started rising to the surface again. There are times when I want to paint every day, and there are other times when I won't pick up a brush for a few weeks. The only way I can explain it is that I need to feel ready to create a piece. An idea will form in my head, I will see the colors very vividly, and then I do my best to recreate that vision on canvas.

Art is like an escape for me. An escape from the stresses of every day life and a way to create something beautiful for others to enjoy. Art is literally everywhere you look. It comes in different forms, is made with different mediums, and can mean different things to different people.

Even though the original inspiration behind a particular work of art is set by its creator, ultimately individual viewers will form their own interpretation. This is the gift of art.

My hope is that by viewing my artwork, you will receive that gift.
